Tracy Beasley born in 1966, is a retired American Professional Boxer, was born and raised in Houston, TX. Raised in the tough South ParkNeighborhood. By the time that he was seventeen years old, Beasley had won the National Golden Gloves Light Heavyweight Championship. Beasley won two subsequent National Golden Gloves titles. Later in 1984, he represented the United States in an Amateur Athletic Union Boxing Tour in Europe while serving in the United Sttes Armed Forces. After making the transition from amateur to professional boxing in 1984, Beasley had earned a record of 26-0-1 as a light Light Heavyweight contender, Tracy “Bad News” Beasley.

During his career as a professional boxer, Beasley twice challenged for a world title and was ranked in the top ten for five consecutive years, from 1984-1989 by International Boxing Association (IBA) sanctioning body, before winning the title in 1989. Tracy Beasley professional boxing career included his win of the North American Boxing Federation Light Heavyweight Strap. Beasley retired from professional boxing in 1992 but continues to be involved in the sport as a successful trainer. In 2002, Beasley was named Trainer of the Year. Beasley is now a successful business owner of LMC Medical Tranportation, Inc. and Petra Educational Services & Development Group, LLC. He spends his time teaching, training and mentoring youth.

Born and raised in Houston, Texas, Tracy L. Beasley is a U.S. Marine Corps veteran and former professional boxer who now maintains a successful career in the educational administration sector. The winner of a National Golden Gloves Light Heavyweight Championship at only 17 years of age, Tracy Beasley moved on to earn two additional Golden Gloves titles and was ranked as a Top 10 International Boxing Association (IBA) fighter for five years running. Taking a World IBA Title in 1989, he subsequently retired from competition in 1992. Eager to pursue new challenges, Tracy Beasley enrolled in an undergraduate criminal justice program and completed his course requirements in 1994. At this point, Beasley secured a position with Houston’s Neighborhood Centers, Inc., where he served as a Youth Program Coordinator until 1996.

Tracy Beasley obtained a Master’s degree in Special Education from the University of St. Thomas during his time with Neighborhood Centers. He also possesses Master’s-level certification in Educational Administration from Prairie View A&M University, a credential he received in 1999. After a productive four-year teaching tenure with the Sheldon Independent School District, Tracy Beasley transitioned into a role as an Instructional Team Leader with the Harris County Department of Education (HCDE). Promoted to Program Manager of HCDE’s Charter School Initiative one year later, he was instrumental in developing and launching the Zenith Program, an endeavor geared toward improving student performance and regulatory compliance through strategic evaluation.

Tracy Beasley held a post as the Zenith Program’s Administrator before taking on the role of Principal with the Harris County Juvenile Justice Alternative Education Program. Overseeing more than 60 teachers and 600 at-risk elementary, middle, and high school students, Tracy Beasley then leveraged his long resume of achievements to found the Petra Educational Services & Development Group, LLC, a scholastic consultancy that works with school districts in six states to strengthen academic models in an actionable manner. Committed to civic betterment as well, Tracy Beasley advocates on behalf of No More Bullying, an effort that helps children build self-esteem.
